Let’s Work Together

Parents are very important to us as children achieve their best when home and school work well together.

We welcome parents into the academy and are continually looking for ways to develop stronger links. The children’s development is carefully monitored and parents are kept well informed of progress. Sharing special events, times and activities with parents and encouraging parents to join us as often as possible to share the milestones in their child’s education is a key feature of the academy.

We organise a range of family learning opportunities, offering parents the chance to support children’s learning in a fun way.

Help Them Go Further

Revision is an important part of learning especially when it comes to SAT’s. With that in mind we have put together a list of useful links for children to use.

Ready and On Time

Regular attendance is very important to children’s progress.

We strongly recommend that your child only misses school if they are unwell. Have a look at the classes which have the best attendance this term. Our overall attendance target this year is 97%.

Join the V.I.P’s

We feel that it is important to acknowledge when our pupils are making an excellent contribution.

Will you be on the V.I.P list? Mrs.Goddard and Mrs.Grattage have been keeping track of all of the children who have been fantastic at school and there just might be a special treat waiting for them.

British Values

We celebrate being part of Britain.

We live in a multicultural society and as an Academy, we value and celebrate the diverse heritages of everybody. The DfE recently reinforced the need for schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

Join The Club

We run lots of different clubs throughout the year with all year groups. Click to have a look at the clubs we are currently running and how your child can get involved…

The Academy Governors are committed to developing an inclusive school that reflects the diversity of the local community.

There are 60 pupils in each year group throughout the Academy. Parents wishing to apply for a place for their child should call the Academy on 01782 234430 or online at the Stoke-on-Trent Council Admissions webpage. Admission is not dependent on being a member of a particular faith community.

Vision & Values

We are privileged to be working in education, where we have the ability to profoundly change children’s lives. Our aim is always to provide for the pupils of our Academies what we would want for our own children.

All staff have a duty and responsibility to be encouraging and supportive of each other. All our schools have a “can do” culture where excuses are never tolerated.

Embodied in the Trust motto, “Achieving schools and caring communities”. All academy members are expected to aim for excellence in their individual professional roles.

In the best traditions of the profession all staff are prepared to go the extra mile to provide the best possible education for their pupils. The interests of children are paramount and guide all that we seek to do and achieve.

The time children spend in education is precious. We have a responsibility to ensure that every moment a child is in a St. Bart’s Academy they enjoy learning and strive hard to achieve well and fulfil their maximum potential.

Our core values are represented through the acronym: PEACE. These values form the basis of initial discussions with all prospective employees of the St. Bart’s Academies.
