Improvements in phonics year on year. The Academy have purchased and implemented Read Write Inc. to ensure further rapid improvement this year.

The number of KS1 children achieving the expected standard in Reading Writing and Maths has improved.

On our Journey to Outstanding we need to:

Accelerate progress in reading and phonics so that more children are at the expected level in line with National at the end of KS2 and increase the percentage at GDS.
Introduce and embed Power Maths as a vehicle to continue to improve outcomes in Maths at the end of both Keystages.
Continue to enhance the delivery of the curriculum to ensure a wide range of skills are developed alongside subject knowledge.
Introduce, develop and embed the use of 1:1 iPads throughout the school as a tool for children and to reduce teacher workload.

Outcomes at the end of Key Stage 1 continue to improve.

There have been improvements in the percentage of children passing their Phonics screening assessment by the end of Year 1.
